“The hotel's location, a brief walk from Canterbury Cathedral and the Marlowe Theatre, places guests in the heart of the city's attractions. Its historic character, including a 12th-century chapel, is appealing, although some rooms show signs of wear. The gardens offer a pocket of serenity, a welcome contrast to the bustling surroundings.”

Acceptable Stay with Noticeable Issues

central locationlow shower pressuresteep stairs
The location was super. I could easily access the main attractions.
The room was quite tired. The shower pressure was disappointing, and it made showering difficult. Stairs seemed steep and dark, posing a challenge with luggage.

I really enjoyed the location, it was SO central. the breakfast was really fresh, i enjoyed the spread a lot! sanjeewa was super friendly. He made sure i had everything i needed. the pub right across the street was a bonus, i went there several times.
The tv in my room didn't work properly. I think the aerial connection was loose. i couldn't fix it myself so i just didn't watch tv . it would be nice if that was checked regularly.

the location was good, very central.
The room felt quite dated. the bathroom needed some serious attention. I noticed broken floor tiles held together with tape and mould in the shower. it just didn't feel very clean, frustrating.
